Side Ice Lessons
Jaclyn offers Side Ice Lessons at the Ice Den to work specifically on the artistry, musicality, and presentation of a skater’s program. These lessons help the skater connect ballet directly into their skating. I look at the Skater as if they were a Dancer, and I will make all corrections necessary to adjust their lines, form, and positions to fit that of a Dancer. Every detail from head, posture and finger tips will be addressed and perfected.
Through repetition, the corrections and attention to detail will become 2nd nature. The end result will have elegance, grace, and beauty. Please check calendar for available times for side ice lessons. A Skater must first check with their coach/coaches to be sure their coach wants them to work with me. The coach needs to schedule the ballet lessons side ice to not interfere with the Skaters regular training schedule. Feel free to have your coach contact me directly.
In Studio Private Lessons
In Studio Private Lessons are a huge benefit to the figure skater because it gives them the opportunity to work in front of mirrors (on ice, its very difficult for them to see what they are doing).
In studio lessons are a great way to work on stretch, strength, arm movements, quality and musicality. Some skaters use these lessons to work on their skating programs in front of the mirrors. I am able to point out line, posture, positions, and form to help the skater achieve accuracy in their execution of movement.
We can easily stop and start the music and listen for intricacies within their music to further pull out artistry. This is a great time and place to work choreography as well. Some skaters simply want to improve their knowledge of ballet. We may work positions, and arms and ballet technique and terminology.

***For ALL students that are not Figure Skaters at the Ice Den there is a mandatory additional fee of $10.00 per lesson guest student fee that will be added to the studio rent requested by the Ice Den. Please talk to Jaclyn if you have any questions.

Note: Please pay directly before, or after the lesson occurs, on the same day as the lesson. Please let me know in advance if you will need receipts. You may also pay bi-weekly, or monthly but please set this up with Jaclyn.
If you need to cancel a scheduled lesson:
Please be sure to contact me 12 hours prior to the lesson, so I have time to fill the time slot. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for the full cost of the lesson. I am understanding that life happens, it happens to me as well. But if you know you will be going out of town, have a competition, family commitment or other obligation please tell me so that someone else can have your time slot. I am very busy, and would appreciate the advanced notice.
