Level I Ballet for Figure Skaters
About the Class
This class is designed to introduce the figure skater to the artistic side of their skating. Skaters without ballet experience, or only 1-2 years of ballet experience will benefit from this class. The Level I Ballet class is for ages 6-11, and those with less than 2 years of ballet experience.
In class we focus on the following:
- Body alignment
- Stretching, strength and flexibility
- Arm positions and quality of arm movements
- Upper body elegance, posture, and position
- Leaps and jumps
- Musicality
- Ballet terminology, memorization, attention to detail, and muscle awareness

Level I Ballet Classes (August – May)
Location: Scottsdale Ice Den – Apex Conditioning Room
Day/Time: Saturdays: 11:00am – 11:45am (taught by Julia)
Location: Chandler Ice Den – Ballet Room
Day/Time: Thursdays 5:20pm – 6:05pm Dance and Stretch (taught by Shannon)

Pricing / Requirements:
Tuition: Please Contact Ice Den for Pricing.
Dress: Hair is to be pulled back off face, no dangling jewelry, skating attire is fine for dress. Ballet shoes are required.
Note: Please meet outside of Ballet studio. Do not enter the room without a teacher. No street shoes are allowed inside the studio, No food or drink is allowed inside the Ballet studio.
